Privacy Policy

Short version

Rewind Party is a free, browser-based party game. We collect as little data as we can. No accounts, no analytics, no third-party tracking, no ads.

What we store

While you're in a game, our self-hosted server holds your typed display name and the room code you joined in memory only. When the room ends or you leave, that data is discarded — nothing is written to a database.

Your browser's localStorage keeps a random player ID (so a reload can rejoin the same seat) and your last-used display name. That data lives on your device. Clearing your browser storage removes it.

What we don't do

• We don't require an account or email address.
• We don't run analytics or behavioral tracking.
• We don't serve ads.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.

Third-party content (YouTube)

Songs play through an embedded YouTube player loaded directly from youtube.com. When the YouTube player loads, your browser communicates with YouTube and YouTube's privacy and cookie policies apply to that interaction. Rewind Party itself does not receive or store anything about your YouTube activity.

Children

Rewind Party is intended for general audiences and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated effective date.
